The Great Prophecy for KOOM Festival

The Great Prophecy is an interactive media art installation that delivers witty, unexpected prophecies to intervene playfully in the flow of everyday life.

When the audience stands in front of the vast LED screen filled with purple boxes, a giant fortune cookie emerges to offer a single sentence of prediction that sparks laughter, a sense of comfort, and fresh inspiration. First unveiled at COEX, Seoul in August 2025, the work appears in a new form at the KOOM Festival in Brooklyn, New York two months later.

For the KOOM edition, special fortune messages have been prepared for the start-up community, entrepreneurs, students and all those gathered with a passion for innovation. Blending humor and insight, luck and risk, these sentences serve as mirrors reflecting each individual’s challenges and journeys; and at times even as a hand of encouragement. In this way, the screen becomes more than a display — it’s an invitation to pause and imagine one’s next move forward.




KOOM 페스티벌을 위한 위대한 예언

《위대한 예언》은 행운의 메세지를 건네는 포춘쿠키라는 모티브를 통해 관객에게 예기치 못한 예언을 건네며, 평범한 일상 속에 개입하는 인터랙티브 미디어 아트입니다. 거대한 LED 스크린 속 도미노처럼 유기적으로 움직이는 보랏빛 박스들 사이로 등장하는 거대한 포춘쿠키는 관객에게 웃음과 위로, 새로운 자극을 남기는 한 문장의 예언을 전달하는 작품입니다. 2025년 8월, 서울 코엑스에서 처음 공개되었으며, 오는 10월 뉴욕 브루클린에서 개최되는 KOOM 페스티벌에서 새로운 모습으로 선보여집니다.

KOOM 에디션에서는 스타트업, 창업가, 학생, 그리고 혁신을 향한 열정으로 모인 모든 이들을 위해 특별한 예언이 담긴 메시지가 준비되었습니다. 유머와 통찰, 행운과 리스크가 뒤섞인 이 문장들은 각자의 도전과 여정을 비추는 작은 거울이자, 때로는 격려의 손길이 됩니다. 스크린은 단순한 디스플레이를 넘어, 관객이 발걸음을 멈추고 나아갈 다음 한 수를 떠올리는 참여형 무대로 변모합니다.
